Thin film or wire wound RTD ( Resistance Temperature Detector) with extended  lead wires insulated by Teflon or Glass fiber. The RTD can be protected by a heat-shrinkable sleeve or embedded in a ceramic mass and housed ceramic tube as protection against corrosion.

Precautions should be taken to protect sensor and extension leads against unnecessary push and pull forces.
