Precision machined compression fittings are used directly on probes to achieve the required insertion length in the process and to ensure the proper seating of probes into thermowells. As leakages often occur around the connections, it is vital to use a good compression fitting. But what defines a good compression fitting? First of all, it needs to be leak-tight. It simply cannot allow gas, oil or other substances to leak into the environment. Secondly, the quality of the compression fitting should be such that vibrations won’t lead to deteriorationof the fitting.
Compression fitting are available for industrial mi-heaters (counter bored with olive) and for industrial temperature sensors (bored-through with double ferrulle).
